ESU provides instructional, Child Study Team, speech, and nursing services for private (nonpublic) school students in Burlington County through specific allocations from the New Jersey Department of Education. The Educational Services Unit employees work together with the non-public staff to meet the educational needs of students who qualify for compensatory, supplemental and speech/language services. ESU strives to support and supplement the teachers and curriculum in the non-public school setting. Our goal is to meet the new and emerging demands of an increasingly diverse student population by assessing needs, identifying support strategies, and implementing interventions. The following services are offered:
- Chapter 192 Services: Compensatory Instruction, English Language Learner, Home Instruction
- Chapter 193 Services: CST Initial and Reevaluation, Supplemental Instruction, Speech Evaluation and Language Services
- Additional Services: IDEA, ESSA, Nursing, Transportation
